 Q How do I get the songs to load in the game?!

You need to "cache" the songs.
Open the ssrmax.exe, and on the first tab look for "Register Folder"
Click that and search for the folders that contain your BMS/BMS files.
Then "Create cache...." button
Then Start the game.

　

 Q SSRMAX won't cache the songs in Windows XP. What's wrong?

1. Go into your ssrmax folder, and right click SSRMAX.exe.
2. click on properties
3. go to compatibility
4. run this program in compatibility mode for (Check This box)
5. in the drop down box right under that select Win98/Windows Me (Or Windows 2000 works also)

　

 Q SSRMAX doesn't save my scores, what's wrong?

That was a feature that was never implemented into the game. Too bad.

　

 Q How do I change the song from 7-Key Normal to 14 key, or Light?

In order to change difficulties in game, press "C" (the third white key from the left).

　

 Q How do I change the way the songs are sorted? IE:by folder, like by levels...?


It only will sort by Folder and the Alpha order. Even those there appears to be the option to sort by difficulty, it was never put in either.
　

　

 Q How do I change resolutions?

Go to the Display Tab ->
VGA - 640x480
SVGA - 800x600
XGA - 1024x786

　

 Q How do I enable Auto-Scratch, Speed modifiers, and other in game settings?

To change options in the same (auto-scratch and such) hold down spacebar
in the song select and press the corresponding button to the corresponding setting.

　

 Q How do I Configure the key settings or enable a joystick?

F1: Effector - on off,
F2: Effector - change
F3,4: Effector - extent
F5,6: Equalizer - (LOW)
F7,8: Equalizer - (HIGH)
F9,10: Key sound volume control
F11,12: Back sound volume control
